Since the launch of ChatGPT in November 2022, generative AI has been taking industries around the world by storm. Generative AI, which produces text, audio, and video on command, is quickly finding its way into the healthcare industry.

AI contributes from helping doctor’s decision making  to diagnosing and tracking diseases. AI is also increasingly playing a key role in surgery. There is even a concept of an AI hospital, where AI is involved in every step of medical procedures but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, and prescription.

At CES2024, which takes place January 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada, digital health is a major discussion topic, and AI is recognized as one of the most important areas of the topic. There are 542 digital health companies exhibiting at CES2024. Many of them are touting AI as the centerpiece of their medical technology.

One example is South Korean startup DeepMed (Venetian Expo)^[1], which uses AI to provide users with a variety of health information, including heart rate, stress, and blood pressure, using only the smartphone's camera.

Deep-Bio, a cancer diagnosis AI company, won the Innovation Award in the Digital Health category at CES. It is the only Korean cancer diagnosis AI company to receive this honor. DeepBio provides state-of-the-art in vitro diagnostic software (IVD-SaMDs) that analyzes cancer areas and severity of various cancer types by utilizing its expertises in deep learning and cancer pathology.

Users are already excited about AI healthcare. According to the CES organizer CTA, 42% of U.S. adults who are familiar with AI expect the healthcare industry to be most positively impacted by AI.

In response, MedionTech, a cross-border platform specializing in medical technology, will host the MedionTech Conference at CES2024. Co-hosted by MedionTech, Happysona AI Accelerator, DRI (Desert Research Institute), and others, the event will bring together experts, entrepreneurs, and investors to discuss "AI medical investment trends," "medtech companies and technology trends to watch," "digital health at CES2024," and more.

Organizers such as HappySona, DRI, and MedionTech will be presenting, and "medtech companies to watch" will present their strategies for 2024. A discussion will follow. Attendees will receive a copy of the 2024 AI and Healthcare Technology Trends Report.
